MEDIA RELEASE: LWC’s Annex Building closed due to weather damage

BATON ROUGE – Due to significant damage from today’s thunderstorms, The Louisiana Workforce Commission’s (LWC) Annex Building, located at the agency’s headquarters at 1001 North 23rd Street, is closed and will remain so through tomorrow, Aug. 7, 2018.

Roof damage and water intrusion issues were reported at approximately 5 p.m. The Administrative Building does not appear to have suffered damage.

Employees who work in the Annex Building should contact their supervisor to verify whether they need to report to work on Tuesday. LWC employees in the Administrative Building are expected to report to work.
