2018 schedule of employment data, unemployment rates press releases

BATON ROUGE —The Louisiana Workforce Commission has revised the schedule for its 2018 monthly press releases of employment and unemployment data.

The release of statewide nonfarm industry employment data and unemployment rates coincides with the federal Bureau of Labor Statistics’ monthly release of data for all states.

In most months, the LWC will release two separate press releases. The first contains both seasonally and not-seasonally adjusted nonfarm employment, civilian labor force and the unemployment rate for the State. The second monthly release will publish the not-seasonally-adjusted civilian labor force data for the nine metropolitan statistical areas and all 64 parishes. There will be only one press release for the 2018 January and February data that will include all data items in one release.

The descriptions of the 2018 press release dates listed below reflect the type of civilian labor force data for that release and are subject to change:

Jan. 23, 2018 – State with data for December 2017

Jan. 30, 2018 – MSA and Parish with data for December 2017

March 12, 2018 – State, MSA and Parish with data for January 2018

March 23, 2018 – State with data for February 2018 - Revised

March 27, 2018 – MSA, and Parish with data for February 2018 - Revised

April 20, 2018 – State with data for March 2018

April 27, 2018 – MSA and Parish with data for March 2018

May 18, 2018 – State with data for April 2018

May 25, 2018 – MSA and Parish with data for April 2018

June 15, 2018 – State with data for May 2018

June 22, 2018 – MSA and Parish with data for May 2018

July 20, 2018 – State with data for June 2018

July 27, 2018 – MSA and Parish with data for June 2018

Aug. 17, 2018 – State with data for July 2018

Aug. 24, 2018 – MSA and Parish with data for July 2018

Sept. 21, 2018 – State with data for August 2018
