Out of work due to Hurricane Ida? LWC’s Mobile Workforce Center is coming to help you apply for Disaster Unemployment Assistance. The MWC is equipped with broadband satellite, 4G LTE WiFi, 13 computer stations, and printing/scanning capabilities. Be sure to bring your ID and be ready to submit your proof of employment at the time of the disaster within 21 days of filing. Your personal income tax return (Federal Form 1040 and attachments) or other proof of employment (e.g., 1099) and wages you earned in calendar year 2020 is also requested. Claims can also be filed online at www.laworks.net or through the UI Claim Center at 1-866-783-5567.
