The Louisiana Department of Labor now offers online filing of the Quarterly Wage & Tax Report. This fully interactive application gives step-by-step instructions for entering employee wage information and creates the quarterly report from this data. The application was created for current quarter filing only and cannot be used to enter multiple year/quarters or prior quarters. To learn more about filing your quarterly report online, click here on .
The paper version of the Quarterly Wage & Tax report are also available online. These forms are semi-interactive, meaning they can be filled out online but must be printed and mailed in. The following link will take you to the step-by-step instructions for filling out these forms and will link you to those forms: Quarterly Wage & Tax Report.
In addition, the department currently has an electronic funds transfer (EFT) system as another alternative filing method for employers. This method involves an ACH Credit transaction with your bank. However, the wage detail must still be submitted to the LDOL by paper or in a Magnetic Media format.
We urge you to continue to use the pre-printed reports mailed out quarterly to all employers if filing online is not an option for you. These documents are coded for processing your reports quickly and accurately through a remittance processing system. The software specifications for this form are readily available to employers and their agents.
For first time filers who have not been assigned an employer's state ID number, you may use the semi-interactive forms to file the quarterly reports along with the Employer Application for LA Unemployment Account (PDF) form.
