Important Notice of Legislative Change for Filing Method

RS 23:1531.1, effective June 22, 2007, requires employers to file tax and wage reports electronically. The deadline for employers to meet this requirement is based upon the number of their employees. All employers will eventually file electronically by year 2014.  However, an employer may apply for a waiver to the Executive Director of the Louisiana Workforce Commission.

The requirement to file contribution and wage reports electronically will be implemented as follows:

  • For reports due after January 31, 2008, those employers employing 250 or more employees
  • For reports due after January 31, 2010, those employers employing 200 or more employees
  • For reports due after January 31, 2012, those employers employing 100 or more employees
  • For reports due after January 31, 2014, those employers employing fewer than 100 employees
