Stacy Bonnaffons is Director of the Office of Workforce Development for the Louisiana Workforce Commission.
Bonnaffons returned to her native Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina to work on federal recovery program implementation for The Shaw Group. She later served in business development for Shaw covering the Gulf Coast region and particularly in developing partnerships with trade associations, non-profits and local small businesses for work with the City of New Orleans.
She previously served overseas for nine years as the regional manager for the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) in Bangkok, Thailand and with the U.S. Commerce Department in the U.S. Commercial Liaison Office for the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Manila, Philippines. In these positions, Bonnaffons administered federal grant funds to advance economic development, job growth and training.
Bonnaffons holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and French from Louisiana State University and a Master of Arts in economic development from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. She was awarded two Superior Honor Awards from the U.S. Department of State.
