Marianne Sullivan is the Office of Unemployment Insurance Administration Director for the Louisiana Workforce Commission.
Sullivan is a 32-year career employee with the Louisiana Workforce Commission. She served as Director for the Office of Unemployment Insurance Administration during the Blanco administration. During her tenure, she has held various positions in the Unemployment Insurance program.
She began her career in 1975 as a claims interviewer in the Baton Rouge Job Center and has held the position of quality control auditor, technical specialist and quality control manager.
Sullivan has also managed the Fraud and Investigations Section, the Tax Performance Systems and Wage Records Unit before being named Unemployment Insurance director in October 2001. She supervised more than 200 staff in the administrative office and statewide field offices.
She received her Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from Louisiana State University in 1974 and her master's degree in education from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1975.
