DERIDDER – The Louisiana Workforce Commission and the Youth Council of Local Workforce Investment Area (LWIA) 50 will hold a youth job fair on Tuesday, April 27, from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Beauregard Parish Fairgrounds Exhibition Hall, 610 West Drive in DeRidder.
The event is open to high school juniors and seniors, as well as LWIA Youth Program participants, in Allen, Beauregard and Vernon parishes.
Approximately 130 vendors, including employers, technical colleges and recruiters, have been invited to the event. Among vendors registered are: DeRidder Fire Department, City of DeRidder - Community Service Department, United States Air Force, United States Navy, Coastal College (truck driving school), McDonald’s, Keith’s Place, Sonic Drive-In, Employment Readiness Program, Ryan’s Steakhouse, Job Corps and Wal-Mart.
