MONROE - The Louisiana Workforce Commission and Accent Marketing officials will meet Jan. 8 to discuss options and services available to employees who will lose their jobs in March as a result of decreased inbound call volume at the contact center.
The LWC will open an on-site worker transition center to assist employees.
The services will include:
- Layoff coordination meetings
- On-site worker orientations, including job placement assistance, unemployment insurance and training
- On-site job search workshops, including résumé writing, interviewing skills, budget management and job search techniques for older workers or those with limited experience.
- Job and education fairs
- Partner agency workshops
Louisiana Workforce Commission services are offered at no cost to the employer or participating employees.
