La. Workforce Commission to Hold Orientation Sessions for Exide Technologies Workers

BATON ROUGE – The Louisiana Workforce Commission’s Rapid Response Team will hold orientation sessions for the approximately 130 Exide Technologies workers who will lose their jobs in the next 45 to 75 days because of a severe drop in demand for vehicle batteries.

The sessions will be Tuesday, April 14, and Wednesday, April 15, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Exide’s facility at 2400 Brooklawn Drive in Baton Rouge.

Orientation sessions are designed to inform affected employees about the services available to them through the LWC’s Rapid Response Unit.

Workforce Commission services are offered at no cost to the employer and participating employees.
