BATON ROUGE – Employers looking for workers with experience in information technology, customer service, accounting, banking, insurance and government are encouraged to participate in a networking event for The Road Home Program workers who will lose their jobs on Friday, March 27.
The Louisiana Workforce Commission, along with the Business and Career Solutions Center, will sponsor the event on Tuesday, March 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Customer Assistance Center at 7850 Anselmo Lane in Baton Rouge.
The event is being held specifically for the dislocated workers of ICF International and Quadel Housing Services. Business recruiters will have access to a training room that will allow them to meet with the workers, collect résumés and exchange business cards.
About 516 workers are expected to be laid off over the next few months as ICF’s contract with the State of Louisiana ends in June.
Rapid Response services are offered at no cost to the employer and the participating employees.
For more information or to register for the event, employers can contact Greg A. Anders, Business Services, at 225-342-2934 or by e-mail at email@example.com.
