NEW ORLEANS – The Louisiana Workforce Commission announced today that the Workforce Summit that had been scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 17 at Astor Crowne Plaza has been postponed due to the aftermath of Hurricane Gustav.
The Commission has scheduled Workforce Summits for each of the eight Economic Development regions throughout the state as a result of the comprehensive workforce reform agenda passed by the Louisiana Legislature to effectively respond to the workforce issues facing each region.
All business and community leaders who had received invitation letters or had already pre-registered for the New Orleans summit will be notified when the event is rescheduled.
