Employers offered space at Baton Rouge Career Solutions Job Fair
Veterans and the general public to attend at designated times

BATON ROUGE –Employers are encouraged to participate in the Baton Rouge Career Solutions Job Fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 10 at Holiday Inn Select at 4728 Constitution Ave.

The first two hours, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., are reserved for veterans only. Veterans must present their DD-214 discharge papers, VA card or military identification to participate. The final two hours, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., are open to everyone.

“We will once again offer our veterans first and exclusive access as the job fair begins, while including the general public during the second half of the event,” said Bob Hartman, local veterans employment representative with Baton Rouge Career Solutions. “We tried this approach at last year’s job fair and had great success. This will enable participating businesses the opportunity to help our veterans but also to interact with the most diverse group of job seekers from a variety of backgrounds and skill levels.”

Businesses of all types are encouraged to participate. Employers should reserve their free booth space early. More than 75 businesses are expected to attend. Refreshments will be provided.

For more information or to reserve free booth space, contact Bob Hartman with the Baton Rouge Career Solutions veterans unit at (225) 922-1320.
