2008 Labor Market Press Release Schedule
BATON ROUGE – The Louisiana Department of Labor (LDOL) has assembled a tentative 2008 schedule of labor market information press releases.
Employment statistics data for January and February will be released on March 13, 2008 and April 1, 2008, respectively, because LDOL will be fulfilling a federal Bureau of Labor Statistics requirement to benchmark data from the prior year at the beginning of 2008. The employment press release process will return to the 25th day of the month with the release of the March data on April 25, 2008. Also, for those months that the 25th falls on a weekend or on a holiday, data will continue to be released prior to the 25th.
The statewide data will continue to be released in conjunction with the release of the monthly metropolitan statistical area and parish data. All release dates are target dates and are subject to change.
