Labor Department to assist workers affected by layoffs at WinCup Holdings

SHREVEPORT - The Louisiana Department of Labor’s Rapid Response unit will offer orientation sessions for 62 employees of WinCup Holdings who will lose their jobs on Feb. 12 because of a consolidation of the company’s operations.

The sessions will be held at 7 a.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10 at the company’s facility at 7501 East Trammel in Shreveport.

"All employees affected by the layoff are encouraged to attend one of the orientation sessions," said Greg A. Anders, state Rapid Response coordinator. "We will be providing valuable information and resources to prepare these workers for the future."
