BATON ROUGE - The “Louisiana Labor Force Diversity Data 2007” publication is now available on the Louisiana Department of Labor’s Web site. The book contains statistical information based on annual population and annual average civilian labor force estimates for 2006. The data are listed by state, metropolitan statistical area (MSA), and individual parish.
This book is provided as a service to employers and to anyone who requires statistical information for compiling parish profiles, writing grant applications, or completing affirmative action plans for individual companies.
Current demographics are estimated by applying 2000 Census of population ratios to the 2006 population and annual average civilian labor force figures. The demographic data categorizes the population and labor force by male, female and by race using the latest census ratios.
