Road Home Program to conduct job search workshops

HOUMA – The Road Home Program will conduct free job search workshops from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, July 24, Thursday, July 26 and Tuesday, July 31 at the site of the former Unemployment Insurance office at 7528 Main St.

The workshops will cover important topics for job seekers, including: how to make your résumé attractive to employers, what to include and what not to include in your résumé and what to say and what not to say during a job interview. Mock interviews will be conducted to prepare job seekers for actual interviews.

The Road Home Program is the largest single housing recovery program in U.S. history. It is conducting these job search workshops as a part of its commitment to help Louisiana residents displaced by hurricanes Katrina and Rita. The workshops are open to the public.
