Identifying employment issues and developing effective strategies to assist persons with disabilities pursue gainful employment will be the focus of the Louisiana Disability Employment Symposium, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 28 at the Louisiana State Archives Building at 3851 Essen Lane.
The “Navigating Toward Gainful Employment” symposium’s agenda includes presentations by the Disability Program Navigator Initiative, Career Solutions Centers, Louisiana Rehabilitation Services, Medicaid Purchase Plan and Work Incentive Planning Assistance.
All state, non-profit and advocacy organizations that assist persons with disabilities are encouraged to attend, as well as stakeholders, self advocates and interested parties.
The symposium is co-sponsored by the Louisiana Department of Labor, Governor’s Office of Disability Affairs, Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals and Louisiana Department of Social Services.
