Medical careers and training focus of Northshore Health Career Fair

COVINGTON – Healthcare industry employers and training providers will meet with jobseekers interested in pursuing or advancing medical careers at the Northshore Health Career Fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, March 15 at Greater Covington Center, 317 N. Jefferson Ave.

The healthcare industry in southeast Louisiana lost a number of employers after Hurricane Katrina.

The job fair will feature only employers and training providers representing the healthcare industry. Anyone seeking employment or training in healthcare-related professions is encouraged to attend.

Employers and training providers confirmed to attend are: Pontchartrain Health Care, Slidell Memorial Hospital, Care, Inc, St. Tammany Parish Hospital, Lakeview Regional Medical Center, Northshore Regional Medical Center, Louisiana Heart Hospital, Fairway Medical Center, Ochsner Health Systems, Southerland Place, Topnotch Healthcare Staffing, Lacombe Nursing Center, R & R Home Health, Greenbrier Psychiatric Hospital, Forest Manor Nursing Home, Acadian Ambulance, Fire District #4, Egan Home Health, Delta College, University of Phoenix, Louisiana Community and Technical College System-Sullivan Campus, Delgado Community College and Southeastern Louisiana University.

The event is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the Louisiana Department of Labor’s West St. Tammany Career Solutions Center and the St. Tammany Healthcare Alliance.
