Labor Department to co-sponsor Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Job Fair

BATON ROUGE – Employers representing a variety of businesses will recruit employees at the Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Job Fair from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 15 at the Governmental Building Plaza at 222 St. Louis St.

The job fair is being sponsored by the Department of Labor, the Baton Rouge Career Solutions Center and the Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Committee.

Among the employers scheduled to attend are the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office, Shaw Martin Staffing, LA Carpenters Regional Council Training Center, La. State Penitentiary, BREC, Service Plus Transportation, Mary Kay Cosmetics and Elayn Hunt Correctional Center.

Employers interested in participating in the job fair may sign up for a booth by Friday, Jan. 12 at 1 p.m. There is no charge to participate, and a table and two chairs will be provided.
