The LWC strongly encourages all unemployed or underemployed individuals to visit their local Business and Career Solutions Center. At any of these 59 local offices, job-seekers can receive assistance in developing a personalized plan to obtain their dream career that’s fulfilling and family-sustaining. The agency is continually adding events to help move those on government assistance to self-sufficiency. Next week, two hiring events will take place in Walker and Hammond on November 15 and 17, respectively, while a Re-Entry Job Fair will take place in Lafayette, La. on November 18 for those with felony convictions.
