Veterans and area job seekers encouraged to participate

A job fair aimed at connecting veterans and active duty military and other job seekers with area employers will be held Thursday, July 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the American Legion Post, 2031 Ronald Regan Hwy., Covington.

From 10 a.m. to noon, the event is reserved for active duty military, veterans and their spouses. The job fair is open to the public from noon to 2 p.m.

All participants should bring identification, copies of their résumé, dress appropriately and be prepared to interview.

A diverse group of quality employers, including some seeking to fill immediate openings, will participate.

Employers with positions to fill are encouraged to reserve a booth early as space is limited. For more information or to register, contact LWC Business Services Coordinator Jennifer Impastato at 985-646-6410.

The job fair is sponsored by the St. Tammany Business and Career Solutions Center and the American Legion Post 16.
