Bulk drivers needed in Gonzales

The Louisiana Workforce Commission is holding a two-day recruiting event for Linde North America, an industrial gases company, which seeks to hire bulk drivers to join the company’s Gonzales area team.

The events will be held Friday, June 7, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, June 8, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Lamar Dixon Expo Center, 9039 S. St. Landry Ave., Gonzales.

Potential applicants must be 21 years of age, have a high school diploma, a valid commercial driver's license, three years of previous driving experience for Class A vehicles, a safe driving record, and possess good communications and computers skills. Job seekers should come prepared to interview and take a drug screening. The position offers a $2,000 signing bonus.

Linde requires bulk drivers to safely drive company commercial motor vehicles, use personal protective equipment in all aspects of daily tasks, report to work properly rested, maintain a professional appearance and wear a uniform. Company drivers must provide regular daily communication, perform all tasks required in loading, and complete required documents and paperwork. Drivers who have knowledge of federal transportation, occupational health and safety, and hazardous materials regulations are preferred.

Linde offers paid training, excellent salary and benefits and bonus pay opportunities. Drivers work a steady, five day work schedule with consistent start times and two consecutive days off.

Interested applicants who are unable to attend can apply online at and apply to job ID 906134. For more information, contact LWC Veterans Representative Brad Hebert at 225-647-5557.
