Commercial drivers needed in Baton Rouge

A recruiting event will be held Thursday, May 23, for Platinum Drivers South, which is looking to hire 15 experienced commercial drivers.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Baton Rouge Business and Career Solutions Center, 1991 Wooddale Blvd., Baton Rouge.

Potential applicants must be 21 years of age, bring a valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL), have one year of recent verifiable experience for Class A or B vehicles, a clean driving record, a high school diploma or equivalent, be prepared to interview and take a drug screening.

The company requires CDL drivers to provide on-time and undamaged deliveries to customers in the safest, most efficient, and courteous manner. Company drivers must be able to start and end the work day without direct supervision, and complete required documents and paperwork. Drivers who are experienced and trained in driving Mack trucks and carrying heavy loads are preferred. The position will pay a salary of $11 to $15 per hour.
