Performance Contractors seeking veteran talent
Immediate openings for experienced welders and pipefitters

BATON ROUGE – A two-day recruiting fair, aimed at hiring veterans and current Guard and Reserves to fill contract welding and pipefitting positions for Performance Contractors Inc., will be held in Baton Rouge.

The events will take place Monday, May 20, from 9 a.m. to noon, and Wednesday, May 22, from noon to 3 p.m., at the Baton Rouge Business and Career Solutions Center, 1991 Wooddale Blvd.

Performance Contractors is looking for experienced candidates to immediately fill more than 300 TIG welding and 300 pipefitting positions. These positions will pay $24 to $30 per hour with a daily per diem. Other possible career opportunities include iron workers and crane operators. The company will offer training opportunities for Veterans with less experience who are interested in learning these trades. For job applicants who may have experience without a certification, the company will cover the cost of testing to certify at no cost to the veteran.

Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel.
