The Workplace Safety Task Force will hold a meeting Monday, May 13, from 9:30 a.m. to noon in the Plaza Hearing Room at the Louisiana Department of Insurance, 1702 N. 3rd St., Baton Rouge.
The task force agenda includes presentations by two of the state’s leading workplace safety experts regarding a safety element framework model for the building construction industry and workplace accidents in specific age groups.
Interested employers, claims professionals, insurance adjusters, self-insurers, third-party administrators, attorneys, vocational rehabilitation providers, doctors, safety and risk managers, human resource professionals and anyone whose work involves workplace safety is welcome to attend the task force meeting, which is free and open to the public.
Led by the Louisiana Workforce Commission’s Office of Workers’ Compensation Administration, the 16-member task force, brings together a multi-disciplined volunteer group that is comprised of representatives from business and industry, state and local government, as well as professionals in law, medicine, insurance and academia.
The work place safety task force is designed to further strengthen the state’s safety culture.
