An annual job and resource fair connecting veterans and active duty military with Northwest area employers will be held Thursday, May 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Bossier Civic Center, 620 Benton Road.
Veterans and active duty military should bring identification, copies of their résumé, dress appropriately and be prepared to interview.
Businesses representing a variety of industries, including some seeking to fill immediate openings, will participate. Each year, the event helps to connect more than 100 employers with roughly 500 veterans and active duty military in search of employment.
The job and resource fair, sponsored by the Coordinating and Development Corp., the cities of Bossier and Shreveport and the Louisiana Workforce Commission, is free for job seekers and employers.
Employers with positions to fill are encouraged to reserve a booth early as space is limited. For more information or to register, contact LWC Veterans Employment Representative Ron Knafla at email@example.com, or call 318-741-7366.
