Two recruiting fairs will be held for AT&T, which is looking to hire more than 30 wire technician positions. The recruiting fairs will be held Friday, March 22, and Friday, April 5.
Both events will be held at the Baton Rouge Business and Career Solutions Center, 1991 Wooddale Blvd., from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license, have a non-negligent driving record and be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. Potential job seekers must not weigh more than 275 pounds due to safety restrictions, and must be able to lift and move up to 80 pounds. Applicants will be required to pass a background check, employment history investigation and drug screening. Applicants should have the ability to perceive differences in wire and cable colors and complete on-the-job and/or classroom training as required to remain on the job.

AT&T wire technicians are required to educate customers on service features and functionality, verify all services are working correctly, install and rearrange inside wires, use hand tools, sometimes work in small or confined spaces or aloft, climb poles and generally work outdoors in all kinds of weather.
