Seasonal workers sought for home improvement store
Company looking to hire more than 50 employees

A job fair will be held for Home Depot, which is looking to hire 50 to 70 employees to fill various seasonal positions with the opportunity to become permanent part-time employees.

The job fair will be held Friday, Feb. 8 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Home Depot, 40 Park Place Drive, Covington.

Interested job seekers are encouraged to visit the St. Tammany Business and Career Solutions Center, 524 Gause Blvd. in Slidell prior to the job fair to work on interviewing and resume building skills. At the job fair, potential applicants will be interviewed on the spot. Applicants are encouraged to dress professionally.

Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalency; be at least 18 years of age and able to work days, nights, weekends and holidays. Potential job seekers must be willing and have the ability to stand, kneel and bend for two to eight hours at a time, and must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Applicants will be required to pass a background check and drug screening. Applicants should have a great attitude and high-energy personality. Experience in retail and merchandising is preferred but not necessary.
