Orientation session set for Pepsi Beverages’ employees

The Louisiana Workforce Commission will provide an orientation session Wednesday, Dec. 12, for roughly 60 employees of the Pepsi Beverages Co. affected by the company’s manufacturing plant closure in Reserve.

The session will be held at 9:30 a.m. in LaPlace at the LWC Business and Career Solutions Center, 975 Cambridge Drive. Pepsi Beverages employees are encouraged to attend and no reservation is required.

LWC’s Rapid Response team will be on hand to familiarize attendees with various re-employment and job counseling services available at no cost. Staff will also explain unemployment insurance benefits and eligibility. LWC offers educational and training programs, including tuition assistance to employees who want to upgrade their current skills or begin a new career path.
