ALEXANDRIA – The Louisiana Workforce Commission will provide orientation sessions Monday, Nov. 26, for Alexandria-area employees of Hostess Brands Inc. affected by the expected closure of the company’s facilities nationwide.
The company employs 419 people in Louisiana, including more than 200 in the Alexandria area.
Four orientation sessions are scheduled Nov. 26 at the Central Louisiana Business Incubator, 1501-A Wimbledon Drive, Alexandria CLBI homepage. The sessions start at 8:30 a.m., 10:15 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.
LWC staff will be on hand to familiarize Hostess Brands workers with the various re-employment services available at no cost through the LWC, as well as to explain unemployment insurance benefits and eligibility.
No reservations are required. Hostess Brands employees may simply attend the session of their choice. All company employees in Louisiana are welcome to attend orientation in Alexandria, but other sessions will be scheduled later in different areas of the state.
