Lake Charles Job Seekers Encouraged to Attend Recruiting Event
Close to 20 employers set to participate

Job seekers looking to join or return to the workforce are urged to attend a quarterly recruiting event Wednesday, April 11, in Lake Charles. Businesses representing a variety of industries, including some seeking to fill immediate openings, will take part.

The event, sponsored by the Louisiana Workforce Commission and Calcasieu Consortium Workforce

Investment Board, will be from 9 a.m. to noon at the Calcasieu Business and Career Solutions Center, 4250 Fifth Ave., Lake Charles.

Employers scheduled to participate include Waffle House, Foreman Reyaud Community Center, Pinkerton Security, Don Rivers & Associates, Market Basket, Schlumberger, Lowe’s, Blake International, Weiser Security, LEEVAC Shipbuilders, Ocean Behavioral Hospital, Plumbers & Steamfitters Apprentice (Local 106), Primerica, Cajun Constructors, Sasol, Shaw, PPG, Raising Cane’s, and Spartech Corp.

Job seekers should bring identification, copies of their résumé and be dressed for an interview.
