Employer Seminar to Focus on OSHA and Wage & Hour Compliance

The Louisiana Workforce Commission is co-sponsoring a half-day seminar Tuesday, March 27, designed to equip employers with current information on OSHA and Wage & Hour compliance, and the latest legal developments that affect the workplace.

The seminar will be held from 8 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Lafayette, 2032 Evangeline Thruway. There will be presentations by Sandra Stokes, OSHA consultation manager with LWC, and Lucia Garcia with the U.S. Department of Laborís Wage & Hour Division. Topics to be covered include OSHA compliance overview, OSHA 300 log record keeping, wage and hour compliance overview, what to expect during a wage and compliance investigation, and how to comply with wage and hour laws. The cost of the seminar is $50.

Other sponsors include the Lafayette Economic Development Authority and the Lafayette Regional Business Advisory Committee.
