Area employers with job openings are encouraged to participate in a job fair geared for local veterans and Baton Rouge-area residents looking for employment opportunities.
The Baton Rouge Business & Career Solutions Center will sponsor a job fair for both military veterans and the public on Thursday, April 5, at the Crown Plaza Hotel, 4728 Constitution Ave., Baton Rouge.
The first two hours, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., are reserved for veterans and their spouses. For the remainder of the job fair, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., everyone will be admitted.
The event, typically held in April and September, is expected to attract more than 300 people in search of jobs, making it a great opportunity for employers seeking to fill positions.
Companies already set to participate include Bollinger Shipyards, Turner Industries, The Blood Center, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana, the Veterans Administration, St. James Place, Aerotek, Energy Services, Cintas Corp., United Blood Services, American Eagle Airlines and many others.
Employers are encouraged to reserve their free booth space early, as space is limited. For more information or to register, contact Bob Hartman, firstname.lastname@example.org or call 225-922-1320.
LWC services are offered at no cost to employers and participating job seekers.
