Area businesses of all types are encouraged to participate in a job fair geared for local veterans and residents with disabilities who are looking for employment opportunities.
The first ever Gonzales ARC Job Fair is set for Friday, March 16, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Gonzales Civic Center, 219 South Irma Blvd., Gonzales.
The first two hours, from 10 a.m. to noon, are reserved for veterans and individuals with disabilities only. Veterans must present their DD-214 discharge papers, VA card or military identification to participate. Beginning at noon, the general public will be admitted.
The Louisiana Workforce Commission is cosponsoring the job fair along with the Community Opportunities of East Ascension ARC, Ascension Chamber of Commerce and Ascension Economic Development.
