A recruiting event will be held Tuesday, Jan. 17, for Coushatta Casino Resort, which is looking to hire 200 to 250 employees for its new casino hotel in Kinder.
The event, sponsored by the Louisiana Workforce Commission, will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Multi-Purpose Building at the Fairgrounds, 810 South Lake Arthur Ave., Jennings. The recruiting event is free and open to the public.
Available positions include cage cashier, food and beverage, laundry, room attendant/housekeeping, maintenance/HVAC, electrician, security/limo shuttle and managerial staff. Applicants must be at least 18 and bring a valid drivers license and social security card. Job seekers are encouraged to bring an updated résumé, although it is not required. Applicants will be asked to complete an employment application, and should be prepared for an opportunity to interview with a company representative and to take a pre-employment drug screen.
