BOGALUSA – The Louisiana Workforce Commission’s Washington Business and Career Solutions Center will be relocating to a new location, 420 Avenue B in Bogalusa, effective Monday, May 16, at 8 a.m.
The center’s new location is within the same block as its current location, 438 Avenue B, which will close beginning Monday, May 9, in preparation of the move. During the transition week of May 9-13, LWC will continue to provide services through a temporary office at Northshore Technical College, Sullivan main campus, 1710 Sullivan Drive, Bogalusa. Customers should check in at the school's front office to be directed to the LWC's temporary office, which will be open for the week from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
LWC’s network of Business and Career Solutions Centers offers a number of services free of charge, including:
- Skills assessments
- Education and training information
- Job counseling, referral and placement
- Information on available support services and community resources
- Labor market information
- Employer resource library
- Job posting assistance
- Applicant screening
- On-site interviewing
- On-the-job training opportunities
