BATON ROUGE – Employers can post any oil spill-related job openings for free through the Louisiana Workforce Commission’s online service at www.laworks.net.
To post a job, employers should select the “Post a Job” link under Business on the www.laworks.net home page. Registration is required to post jobs, but employers can get immediate access to the job posting service as soon as they complete the online registration form.
Once a job is posted, LWC staffers will contact the employer to verify information. For oil spill-related jobs, a notice to job seekers will be automatically added to all job postings that have not been verified as an authorized contracted service for the oil spill effort.
More than 660,000 visits were made to www.laworks.net website in April, with an average 135,000 visits each week to the job postings section of the site.
Workforce Commission services are offered at no cost to employers and participating job seekers.
