Bollinger seeks to fill 100 positions, and all interested candidates are welcome to attend. The Bollinger job fair will fill positions at the company’s Amelia, La., facility. The company is seeking candidates interested in skilled production and support positions at this location. Candidates who successfully complete a screening and pre-employment assessment process during the job fair will be scheduled for a hands-on, craft pre-test on Friday, March 1, also at the Tallulah Campus of Louisiana Delta Community College. All skilled craft candidates selected for a hands-on, craft pre-test should report with the proper personal protective equipment. Additionally, all candidates are encouraged to bring a résumé or documentation of their work experience. The positions available include: production leaders in piping and outfitting; pipe fitters; pipe welders, including short-arc, stick and TIG; short-arc structural welders; ship fitters; outfitters; inside manual machinists; certified crane operators; safety representative; QC inspector; program manager; and naval architect. Bollinger offers employees a backlog of available work in a safe working environment, along with competitive benefits and compensation. Bollinger’s top production hourly rates are $22, with benefits, and $25, without benefits. The company also offers some limited transitional on-site housing for its workers. Candidates who successfully complete the craft pre-test will receive an invitation to take a Bollinger craft certification test at its Amelia-based facility. All applicants who accept offers of employment will be required to submit to, and successfully pass, a pre-employment physical and drug screening.
